Anne Damgaard is an award-winning fashion designer and visual artist. Dedicated to doing fashion and textile constructions, experimental draped dresses, installations with textile, experimental photo- and video art. Passionate about collaborations with musicians, composers, graphic designers, photographers and visual artists.
Anne Damgaard’s textile constructions and unique dresses are disconnected from time and place, fashion or functional purpose. In tulle and gauze and mesmerizing interplays of colour they float freely in their own magical universe.
Her working methology is an eternal exploration of the relationship between spontaneity and control, as she explores substance, color, light, body and shape in almost weightlessness. She has a particular preoccupation with transparency – forever infatuated by the interplay between light and darkness.
